The Ark Angel - 3D Design Concepts.
During her long trans-Pacific journey from Europe back to the HYS facility in the Philippines, refit concepts for the remarkable re-birth of the Ark Angel were already well underway.
Of major interest to this vessel's new owner was a physical design which would aesthetically - and in various areas, functionally - upgrade the vessel to contemporary mega yacht status.
The new owner's request would necessarily require streamlining much of the vessel's exterior lines, the re-configuration of numerous existing exterior areas to maximize the open-air enjoyment of visitors, as well as the engineering and implementation of two separate heli-decks: one capable of safely harboring the owner's massive Agusta 109, and the other for touch-and-go "ferry" operations.
Internally, the owner wanted a brand new master cabin, a cinema lounge and a major refreshing of the look and comfort of many of the guest cabins.
The final result, after many rounds of new ideas, refinements and design studies, will be a remarkable transformation worthy of any of today's most lauded expeditionary-styled mega yachts.
Just a few of the interior options the new owner will be enjoying in just a few short months will include a brand-new open-plan master cabin directly forward of the formal dining area, a roomy, state-of-the-art entertainment lounge and a completely re-designed gourmet food preparation galley.
The vessel's finalized exterior concepts will include an expansive, open-air sky lounge, an alfresco dining area and bar arrangement, a re-styled aft boarding platform, a roomy sun deck with Jacuzzi and forward observation lounge, a massive aft heli-deck for the owner's Agusta and a forward helicopter landing area for touch-and-go passenger service.
