HYS's Ark Angel Refit Project Featured in Boat International Magazine

Some projects are just too extraordinary to keep under wraps. Case in point: the industry buzz surrounding our 55-meter refit project Ark Angel.

Boat international magazine got wind of our significant refit efforts on Ark Angel and sent BI editor Tim Thomas out to our Philippine conversion facility to investigate.

After a 3-day visit, Tim penned a comprehensive 6-page report which chronologically details the previous two major refits HYS accomplished on this vessel culminating in the third and most spectacular refit which has already become easily recognizable to yacht spotting enthusiasts as the iconic M/Y Ark Angel.

Northern Sun – converted by HYS Yachts – is now on the market

Back in 2006, HYS completed the top-to-bottom conversion of the 51-meter M/Y Northern Sun. After enjoying this luxury masterwork for a number of years, the owner is offering her to the market.

Recently showcased on SuperYacht Times in their SuperYacht of the Week section, it’s easy to see why the owner may just get a fast sale. For the full story – including many beautiful photographs of our work – please click here.

HYS's Dr. No Refit Project Featured in Asian Pacific Boating Magazine

When you've got a client as high-profile as Tom Perkins is, it's pretty hard to keep his Dr. No yacht refit project confidential for long.

Shortly after Dr. No’s sprint-to-the-finish refit was completed and redelivered to Mr. Perkins, Ryan Swift (Editor at Asian Pacific Boating Magazine) got wind of our efforts and called us for a full report.

The feature article Ryan then authored for the January/February issue of APB - while focusing heavily on the 8-month Dr. No refit - also discusses some of HYS's previous conversion works including the majestic M/Y Western Isles and stately M/Y Northern Sun.
